The dual-write system
Seven permanent pairs. Twelve monthly roots. Two essays a day, each one the surface of a cited webpage. The year becomes two books.
How a day is written
Each public day occupies one SMARTER pair. The morning essay takes one side; the evening essay takes the other. Within the day, A leads and B answers. Across days, the evening essay foreshadows the next morning. That weave is how a year of short writing still holds as an argument rather than a pile of fragments.
The pair is chosen from a locked set of seven. The ground under the pair is that month’s root. In September the ground is Architecture. A Science ↔ Sports day in September is about measurement, bodies, and public contest as they appear in building and form — the Colosseum before it is a ruin, while it is still a machine for gathering a people.
Every post is derived from a webpage. The webpage is tagged with both the monthly root and the dual pair, then kept at a permanent address of the form /p/YYYY-MM-DD-a. Those pages are the system of record. Social posts are the surface. The two living ebooks accumulate from the same pages, one by monthly root and one by pair.
